Leila Elizabeth Hart [Cross]

Leila Elizabeth Hart [Cross] b. May 19 1885 d. May 13 1908 was the granddaughter-in-law of Nancy Padgett [Bass], Nancy was the daughter of Wilson Bass and sister of Bennett Bridges Bass Sr.

Leila married Nancy’s grandson Rubin Richard Hart, the son of Columbus Daniel Hart and Nancy Ann Hart [Padgett].

Beyond this I don’t have much info on her. Probably because she died so young, only 22 years old, there just isn’t much there.

What I do have though is this picture of her. It’s one of my favorite pictures I’ve found, the original is just somehow captivating, maybe haunting in a tragic way. I’ve tried a few times to try and get more detail out of it. This week I kind of found a look that seem acceptable and maintains some of the impact that the original has, while adding a bit of color. I though some of you would enjoy and appreciate the comparison, and what I think is just a wonderful image all around.
