An interesting bit of data I came across in one of Mr. Wiley Ward’s books.
Wilson Bass is listed as, what I assume to be, the Voting location for Beat 2 in Covington County from Jan 27 1845 – Feb 28 1848.
This is interesting in its own right, but given that Wilson can be found in the 1840 census but not the 1850 census, this gives us a little clue suggesting he was still probably around till 1848 at least. Government moves slow, so you never really know, but this is neat to me. Never noticed this before.
